The term "Professional Banker" is more than just a job title. It denotes an employee who can handle branch functions ranging from a paying and receiving teller, to opening new accounts, to serving as a working lead for all branch operational requirements under the direction of a Financial Services Supervisor. The Professional Banker program provides motivated employees with many opportunities. The program is, however, demanding in its expectations at each step.

The Professional Banker program has been developed to assist a highly motivated entry-level new hire in using the experience gained through the program as a steppingstone to secure a better, more responsible, higher paying job. This is accomplished by several means:

• Recruiting for and selecting job applicants with the demonstrated potential to fast track advance to a fully trained Professional Banker position.
• Providing frequent performance evaluations and rapid salary advancement opportunities based upon clearly defined advancement criteria.
• Placing the ownership of the program with the employee, while holding responsible management accountable as active program leaders.
