Jeremy Aguero
A fourth-generation Las Vegan, Jeremy Aguero is a principal analyst with Applied Analysis, a leading economic, fiscal and policy research firm based in Las Vegas. During his 23 years with the company, he has managed economic and fiscal analyses of local, regional and national significance for an impressive cross-section of public and private sector clients. Aguero received a Good Government Award from the Nevada Taxpayers Association in 2003, was honored as the Latin Chamber of Commerce's Hispanic of the Year, the William S. Boyd School of Law's Alumnus of the Year in 2011 and UNLV’s Alumnus of the Year in 2018. Aguero sits on the R&R Foundation Board and current serves as the immediate past president for the Opportunity Village Board and as the treasurer for the Nevada Child Seekers Board.
Hugh L. Bassewitz, MD
Dr. Hugh L. Bassewitz is an Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon who has been a Partner at the Desert Orthopaedic Center since 2000. An instructor at the University Medical Center and at Touro University School of Medicine, he has authored numerous publications and book chapters and was named by his peers as one of Las Vegas™ Top Doctors in 2006 and again in 2012. He is the Immediate Past President of the Nevada Orthopaedic Society, a fellow and member of the board of councilors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a past Chief of Surgery at Desert Springs Hospital. He has been on the board of directors of the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas since 2004, and currently serves as chairman of the board of directors. He has been on the board of trustees of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) since 2010, and is a past National Co-Chairman of the Young Leadership Department and Cabinet of JFNA.
David Ezra
David Ezra, broker and owner of Ezra International Realty, is a specialist in high-rise properties with many real estate board designations to his name. A native of southern Nevada, his real estate career has been covered in many publications, including Who's Who in Southern Nevada Real Estate published by InBusiness Las Vegas. Prior to opening his own brokerage, he served as Chief Operating Officer and President of the High Rise Division for Prudential American as well as for Vegas.com, LA.com and Hawaii.com.
John Larsen
John Larsen is President and Chairman of the Board of Port of Subs, Inc., a sandwich shop franchisor operating across seven Western states. Trained as an accountant, he purchased a small sandwich company in 1976 and grew it into a successful concern with about 145 outlets. He was selected to head the state delegation to the White House Conference on Small Business in 1995. He is a member of the Nevada Small Business Development Center (NSBDC) advisory board and a former chair of that NSBDC board. Through his board membership, Larsen provides counseling to start-up franchise companies and those looking to expand within Nevada. Port of Subs annually sponsors and provides funding and teaching instruction for a senior management class taught at UNR. Larsen is a graduate of the University of Nevada with a degree in accounting.
Karla J. Perez
Karla J. Perez serves as the regional vice president of nine hospitals within the western region of Universal Health Services. A leader in the healthcare community for more than 30 years, she has served in a wide variety of roles, ranging from business development to overall hospital operations. She is currently on the board of directors for the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce. She is the past president of the board for the Nevada Hospital Association and has also served as president of the Southern Nevada Healthcare Executive Forum. In addition, she served as president of the Nevada Health Information Management Association. Perez holds a master's degree in healthcare administration.
Harris H. Simmons
Harris H. Simmons has been Chairman of Zions Bancorporation since 2002 and its President and Chief Executive Officer since 1990. He is Chairman of Zions First National Bank and serves on the board of directors for National Life Group (Vermont) and O.C. Tanner Company. He is a past Chairman of the American Bankers Association and is a member of the Financial Services Roundtable. He has served as chairman or president of Utah Symphony; Utah Foundation; Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts and Parks Campaign and Economic Development Corporation of Utah. He is president of Shelter-the-Homeless, Inc., and chairs the Utah Board of Higher Education.
Thomas A. Thomas
Thomas A. Thomas is the managing partner of the Thomas & Mack Co., an investment management and commercial real estate development company. He brings years of banking experience to the advisory board, serving as an officer at Valley Bank of Nevada. After its merger with Bank of America in 1992, he left banking to formalize the real estate and wealth management operations of the Thomas & Mack Co. He has been involved with numerous charitable organizations for many years, having chaired the UNLV Presidents Associates, the Opportunity Village Foundation board, the board of governors of the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and serving as president of the Las Vegas Rotary Club. He serves on the board of directors for Southwest Gas Holdings and SWITCH, Inc., as well as several non-profit organizations.
