Chairman of the Board:

Dallas Haun

Dallas E. Haun is President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Nevada State Bank, and Executive Vice President of the bank's parent company, Zions Bancorporation. Haun took the reins of Nevada State Bank in September 2007, bringing more than 30 years of strong commercial banking expertise and substantial managerial experience to his leadership position. Prior to joining Nevada State Bank, he served as Executive Vice President for a major southern California bank, where he was also on the bank’s executive committee. In that position, he managed 12 regional centers, handling commercial and private banking throughout California.

Jeremy Aguero

A fourth-generation Las Vegan, Jeremy Aguero is a principal analyst with Applied Analysis, a leading economic, fiscal and policy research firm based in Las Vegas. During his 16 years with the company, he has managed economic and fiscal analyses of local, regional and national significance for an impressive cross-section of public and private sector clients. Aguero has received a Good Government Award from the Nevada Taxpayers Association and was recently honored as the Latin Chamber of Commerce’s Hispanic of the Year and William S. Boyd School of Law’s Alumnus of the Year. Aguero serves on the board of directors for the Nevada Council for Problem Gaming and the R&R Foundation; he is president of the board of Nevada Child Seekers and executive vice president of the Opportunity Village ARC board. He also coaches youth baseball, football and soccer.

Hugh L. Bassewitz, MD

Dr. Hugh L. Bassewitz is an Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon who has been a Partner at the Desert Orthopaedic Center since 2000. An instructor at the University Medical Center and at Touro University School of Medicine, he has authored numerous publications and book chapters and was named by his peers as one of Las Vegas’ Top Doctors in 2006 and again in 2012. He is the Immediate Past President of the Nevada Orthopaedic Society, a Fellow and member of the Board of Councilors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a past Chief of Surgery at Desert Springs Hospital. He has been on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas since 2004, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He has been on the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) since 2010, and is a past National Co-Chairman of the Young Leadership Department and Cabinet of JFNA.

David Ezra

David Ezra, broker and owner of Ezra International Realty, is a specialist in high-rise properties with many real estate board designations to his name. A native of southern Nevada, his real estate career has been covered in many publications, including “Who's Who in Southern Nevada Real Estate” published by InBusiness Las Vegas. John Larsen

John Larsen is President and Chairman of the Board of Port of Subs, Inc., a sandwich shop franchisor operating across seven Western states. Trained as an accountant, he purchased a small sandwich company in 1976 and grew it into a successful concern with over 145 outlets. He was selected to head the state delegation to the White House Conference on Small Business in 1995 and did hold the position of Nevada State Retail Director for the International Council of Shopping Centers for a number of years. He is a member of the Nevada Small Business Development Center (NSBDC) advisory board and a former chair of the NSBDC board. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada with a degree in accounting.

Terry Shirey

Terry Shirey serves as Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer for Nevada State Bank. A licensed certified public accountant, he has more than 10 years of experience as a bank financial manager. Before joining the banking industry, he was an audit manager for a national accounting firm that audited financial institutions, including multi-bank holding companies. He serves on several boards, including the Nevada Capital Investment Corporation, the College of Southern Nevada Foundation, and the Nevada Bankers Association.

Harris Simmons

Harris H. Simmons has been Chairman of Zions Bancorporation since 2002 and its President and Chief Executive Officer since 1990. He is Chairman of Zions First National Bank and serves on the board of directors for Questar Corporation, National Life Group (Vermont) and O.C. Tanner Company. He is a past Chairman of the American Bankers Association and is a member of the Financial Services Roundtable. He has served as chairman or president of Utah Symphony; Utah Foundation; Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts and Parks Campaign and Economic Development Corporation of Utah. He is president of the Shelter-the-Homeless Committee, and he serves on the boards of Pioneer Theatre Company, Utah Youth Village and the Great Salt Lake Council of The Boy Scouts of America.

Gary Stewart

A native of southern Nevada, Gary Stewart has been on the Nevada State Bank board for over 30 years. He spent five years on the Nevada State Public Works Board and was involved in the construction and concrete industry for 25 years before founding Central Grading Company, where he served as President and Owner.

Thomas A. Thomas

Thomas A. Thomas is the managing partner of the Thomas & Mack Co., an investment management and commercial real estate development company. He brings years of banking experience to the board, serving as an officer at Valley Bank of Nevada. After its merger with Bank of America in 1992, he left banking to formalize the real estate and wealth management operations of the Thomas & Mack Co. He has been involved with numerous charitable organizations for many years, having chaired the UNLV Presidents Associates, the Opportunity Village Foundation Board, the Board of Governors of the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and serving as president of the Las Vegas Rotary Club. He serves on the board of directors for many local foundations and companies.
