Dallas E. Haun

Dallas E. Haun is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Nevada State Bank, and Executive Vice President of the bank's parent company, Zions Bancorporation. Haun took the reins of Nevada State Bank in September 2007 as President, CEO and Chairman, bringing more than 30 years of strong commercial banking expertise and substantial managerial experience to his leadership position. Under his leadership, Nevada State Bank was awarded the insured deposits of the failed Silver State Bank in September 2008, as well as those of the failed Great Basin Bank of Nevada in 2009. He also spearheaded the reorganization of the bank into five lines of business – retail, real estate, small business, commercial, and private banking – enabling Nevada State Bank to better serve the needs of each client group.

Prior to joining Nevada State Bank, Haun served as executive vice president for a major southern California bank, where he was also on the bank's executive committee. In that position, he managed 12 regional centers, handling commercial and private banking throughout California. He began his banking career in Michigan, but soon came west and spent 20 years with a bank in southern California, eventually serving as president and chief operating officer.

A graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in Finance, Haun received his postgraduate degree from the University of Washington's Pacific Coast Banking School. He also completed the Executive Program at the Anderson School of Business at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

An advocate of education, Haun was appointed by Governor Sandoval to serve on the UNLV Campus Improvement Authority, charged with determining the feasibility of developing an on-campus stadium. He is actively involved in Nevada State Bank's partnership with Ruby Thomas Elementary School in Las Vegas, as well as the bank's sponsorship of Elko Hunger Prevention Program, providing school breakfasts through Communities in Schools. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the UNLV Foundation and the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce, and previously served on the Board of Trustees for the College of Southern Nevada Foundation. In 2010 and 2011, Haun served as the state chairman for March of Dimes March for Babies, successfully leading efforts to raise funds to prevent premature births for Nevada's babies.

Terry Shirey

Terry A. Shirey serves as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Nevada State Bank, as well as sitting on the Bank's Board of Directors. Formerly chief financial officer for six years, Shirey was named president and COO in September 2014, with former president Dallas E. Haun remaining Chairman and CEO.

Shirey is responsible for all operational functions, including human resources, bank operations, facilities, business intelligence, risk management, accounting, finance, marketing and product development. In addition, he oversees the Southern Nevada Small Business team and its critical role in the Bank.

Since Shirey joined the Bank in 2008, he has provided tremendous strategic direction during challenging regulatory changes and an adverse economic environment. He was instrumental during the three FDIC transactions in which Nevada State Bank participated, and has created a strong regulatory relationship.

A licensed certified public accountant (CPA), Shirey has more than 19 years of experience in the financial industry, with the past 12 spent managing accounting and financial operations for major banks and bank holding companies. Prior to joining the banking industry, he was an audit manager for the CPA firm of McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, supervising audits of financial institutions, including multi-bank holding companies.

Shirey holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming. He serves on the board of the Nevada Bankers Association, as vice chair for the Nevada Capital Investment Corporation, as a board member of the College of Southern Nevada Foundation, and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jill Bell

Jill Bell, executive vice president and human resources director, oversees the bank's human resources, training and development teams. She has more than a decade of Nevada human resources experience, including organizational structure, employee relations, recognition programs and management training programs. Bell received her bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon and her master's degree from Santa Clara University. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and received their designation of Professional in Human Resources (PHR). She is also Co-Chairperson of the US Vets Advisory Board and a Board Member for Proventus Place.

Randy Boesch

Randy Boesch serves as Executive Vice President for Nevada State Bank, overseeing the bank's Professional Banking team, and is also Director of The Private Bank by Nevada State Bank. Managing relationships with the bank's high net worth clients is a role in which he has many years of experience at regional and national financial institutions. Boesch has deep roots in the Las Vegas community, currently serving on the boards of St. Jude's Ranch for Children, UNLV Foundation advisory board, Justice League of Nevada and as president-elect for the Las Vegas Rotary Foundation board.

Thomas Elmer

Thomas Elmer is Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer, overseeing all aspects of credit administration, including loan approval, risk grading, loan servicing, special assets, construction disbursement, and appraisals. He joined Nevada State Bank in 2013 after serving for more than 15 years with a regional bank in the Pacific Northwest, most recently as senior vice president and regional credit officer. Before beginning his banking career, Elmer studied accounting and economics at Washington State University and Eastern Washington University. He has extensive experience in the banking industry and has been recognized with several professional awards.

Jeff Jenkins

Jeff Jenkins is Executive Vice President / Statewide Real Estate Lending Manager. With 30 years of banking experience, he heads all real estate interests for the bank throughout Nevada. He recently led a team in managing a multi-million dollar portfolio of real estate assets for a major California bank.

Craig Kirkland

Craig Kirkland, Executive Vice President / Retail Banking Officer, heads up the Nevada State Bank's retail branch system. A 2013 graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School, he has more than 25 years of experience in banking, including positions as branch manager, regional manager, and division manager. Kirkland is an active participant in a number of local volunteer projects. He has served on the board for the Las Vegas Rescue Mission as vice president since 2008, and also currently serves on the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Shannon Peteresen

Shannon Petersen, Executive Vice President / Corporate Banking Manager, is responsible for all aspects of Corporate / Commercial Banking in Nevada. She joined Nevada State Bank 11 years ago, and has been a member of the Executive Management Committee since 2011. Petersen spent four years with the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco prior to joining Nevada State Bank. She is a graduate of UC Santa Cruz with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and a Master's Degree in Finance. She is also a Graduate of Leadership Las Vegas, Class of 2011 and a member of the Women's Leadership Council of United Way.
