Bernard Bermudez

As a vice president of Nevada State Bank and a Small Business Relationship Officer, I help my business clients find the right mix of banking products and services to suit their company’s needs. I have 23 years of banking experience and have been a resident of southern Nevada since 2005, giving me valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by the local business community.

In addition to leveraging my experience with small business banking and lending, I can also bring in colleagues from other bank departments as needed to assist with special projects, working together with them to provide a full range of financial services, including treasury management, SBA loans, and private banking products.

As a long-time Las Vegas resident, I enjoy giving back to my community. I am an active member of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce (LVMCC)’s Business Council and serve on the board of Transition Services, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides meaningful work for adults with developmental disabilities. I also serve as Board Advisor for CREED College Readiness Program and was presented the WICS Founders Award in Washington, DC for my commitment to financial literacy. I was honored with the Las Vegas Boys & Girls Club Man of the Year Award and Greatest Contribution Award for creating a teen mentor program. I am a judge for LVMCC’s Business Excellence Awards and also judged the Small Business Administration’s National Small Business Week Awards. In addition, I served as U6 Head Coach of Team Roadrunners for the Rainbow Youth Soccer League and volunteer with my church and my children’s school.

I compete in marathons and triathlons, enjoy hiking, and play tennis for Spanish Trails. I am a Silicon Valley native and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Asian American Studies from San Francisco State University. My wife, Jaclyn, and I have two daughters.

I look forward to the opportunity to help you build your comprehensive business banking plan.
