What was happening 60 years ago today?

You could see the movie Ben-Hur at the theater for only $1, fill your gas tank at 25 cents a gallon, and…visit the new Nevada State Bank!

We opened our doors for business on December 9, 1959, when the Nevada population was only about 285,000. Today, more than 3 million people call Nevada home, and the Bank has grown from one office in downtown Las Vegas into a statewide financial institution with branches in 20 communities across Nevada.

Click here to see a special anniversary page with fun trivia about what was happening in 1959 – before the Internet, cell phones, and ATMs – along with slides highlighting our 60-year history.

We’re proud of our six decades of service to Nevada families and businesses, and invite you to celebrate with us at a branch near you!
