Nevada State Bank Branches Collecting Purses and Personal Care Products for Underserved Women in Southern Nevada
LAS VEGAS – Nevada State Bank is collecting feminine hygiene products, as well as new and gently used purses for Purse Power, a local nonprofit, from March 1 through March 29 at its Southern Nevada branches. Purse Power fills donated purses with feminine hygiene products and distributes them to women who may have difficulty accessing these items on their own.
In addition to new and gently used purses, items to donate can include tampons, individually wrapped pads, hand sanitizer, feminine wipes, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion, and lip balm. All donated personal care items must be unopened and unused. In addition, monetary donations can be made at any NSB branch in Southern Nevada or online at www.pursepowerlv.org.
“We are proud to support Purse Power’s mission to help women who may have trouble accessing essential care items on their own,” said Eastern/St. Rose Branch Service Manager Tianca Ramos. “March is Women’s History Month, and a time to celebrate and empower women, and we hope that our donation drive can help do just that.”
After the drive, all collected donations will be delivered to Purse Power to be packed and distributed to women and girls through partners such as S.A.F.E.
