Nevada State Bank Seeks Local Artist to Design Reno Mural Project
RENO – May 5, 2021– Nevada State Bank is searching for a Nevada artist to transform the north-facing wall of their West Library branch, located at One W. Liberty St, Reno, NV, into an original mural celebrating over 60 years in the Nevada community. The artwork should showcase Nevada’s natural beauty and resilient spirit.
Artists interested in submitting will need no more than three separate concepts designed specifically to support the purpose of Nevada State Bank’s West Liberty mural project, along with a statement describing each one. Each design must be a unique visual idea and should clearly depict how the finished piece will look, including the materials that will be utilized and the overall vision. The selected artist is expected to complete the work in July.
Nevada-based visual artists spanning all genres, including painters, illustrators, photographers, and others, are encouraged to apply. It is not mandatory to have prior design or commissioned art experience, but the selected artist must be skilled in a visual format and be able to collaborate on artistic projects. To complete an application or for more information, visit www.nsbank.com/mural.
The deadline for Nevada State Bank’s mural project applications is 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 via email to NSBBankEvents@nsbank.com.
