Nevada State Bank Launches Statewide ‘Fill the Bus’ School Supplies Drive to Support Communities In Schools of Nevada
LAS VEGAS – Nevada State Bank (NSB) has teamed up with Communities In Schools of Nevada (CIS) to support the organization’s annual “Fill the Bus” school supplies drive, taking place throughout the month of July. NSB branches across the state will serve as drop-off locations, making it convenient for community members to donate new school supplies. Supporters can also donate online or shop from Amazon Wish Lists curated by CIS to help students start the school year with the tools they need to succeed.
“Helping students get the supplies they need is one of the simplest ways we can make a real difference,” said Lindsay Leavitt, Community Reinvestment Administrator for Nevada State Bank. “Every backpack, notebook, and pencil helps break down barriers to learning. We’re excited to open our branches as drop-off spots to make it easy for anyone to give.”
The drive supports students in the Clark, Elko, Humboldt, and Washoe Counties, where CIS of Nevada served more than 100,000 students during the 2024–2025 school year. Items needed include backpacks, planners, bookmarks, lunch boxes and bags, highlighters, pencil sharpeners, and composition notebooks.

Regional Drive Dates:
- Southern Nevada: July 1 – July 21
- Northern Nevada: July 1 – July 22
- Elko: July 1 – July 30
- Winnemucca: July 1 – August 6
