NSB Executive Megan Comfort Recognized Nationally as American Banker Most Powerful Women in Banking NEXT Winner
LAS VEGAS – Nevada State Bank (NSB) Executive Vice President Megan Comfort was recognized by American Banker magazine as a Most Powerful Women in Banking NEXT 2024 award winner, a part of the Most Powerful Women in Banking program. Comfort serves as NSB’s Small Business Manager, responsible for all aspects of SBA lending and small business banking throughout the state.
As presented in the July 2024 issue of the magazine, the “Most Powerful Women in Banking NEXT” program recognizes 15 high-achieving executives age 40 and under who have been identified by senior leaders and mentors as executing major internal projects, initiating meaningful change and shaping the future of financial services.
“Megan has been a rising leader in the industry from the start of her career. Her passion and ability to understand the needs of Nevada’s small businesses have further developed NSB as a true resource for our clients and the community,” said Terry Shirey, president and CEO of Nevada State Bank. “She has consistently embraced development opportunities and now shares her experience and expertise to inspire her teams to greatness.”
Comfort will join the nation’s award-winning executives to be honored at awards hosted by American Banker on Oct. 23-24 in New York City. As part of the 21st anniversary for THE MOST POWERFUL WOMEN IN BANKING™, this year’s NEXT Awards gala will also host honorees from that list, convening today’s most powerful leaders and tomorrow’s most promising stars for a night of networking, recognition, and celebration.
