Nevada State Bank Branches Accepting Donations for U.S.Vets-Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS – In honor of veterans throughout the Las Vegas community, Nevada State Bank branches are accepting donations of new and gently used cold weather items such as hats, scarves, socks, and gloves, from Oct. 17-Nov. 10. All donations will be given to U.S.VETS-Las Vegas to support the nonprofit’s mission to end veteran homelessness in Las Vegas. In addition, those looking to make a monetary donation instead can do so online via this link: www.justgiving.com/campaign/NSB.
“Honoring and helping our veterans is important to our colleagues at Nevada State Bank. As the weather gets colder, we want to do our part to help ensure those who served can stay warm throughout the winter months,” said Susan Stanton, SVP | Human Resources Manager. “Earlier this year, we hosted a blanket drive for our veterans, and now we’re hoping our community will come out again to support this important organization.”
According to U.S.VETS, nearly 38,000 veterans experience homelessness, accounting for approximately 9 percent of all homeless adults. Founded by veterans to serve veterans, U.S.VETS is on the frontlines helping veterans and their families transition from homelessness by offering tailored support to gain independence. Nationwide, the nonprofit supports more than 20,000 veterans each year. For more information, visit https://usvets.org/locations/las-vegas/
