Lori Nelson-Kraft Joins NSB’s ‘Through the Door’ to Share F1’s Role in Driving Growth and Small Business Opportunities
LAS VEGAS – Nevada State Bank (NSB) has released the latest episode of its podcast series, “Through the Door: The Insider’s Perspective on Running a Business.” In “Episode Fourteen: The Fast Lane to Opportunity with Formula 1,” host Megan Comfort welcomes Lori Nelson-Kraft, Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs for the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix (F1), for a behind-the-scenes look at how Las Vegas became home to one of the world’s most iconic motorsport events. Nelson-Kraft discusses the city’s unique appeal to F1, the race’s evolution into a year-round community asset, and how local businesses are finding opportunities in the fast-paced world of F1.
As senior vice president of corporate affairs for the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, Nelson-Kraft oversees communications, government affairs, and community engagement. Before joining the organization, she served for five years as senior vice president of communications for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and for 14 years as vice president of corporate communications for Station Casinos. Nelson-Kraft currently serves as a board trustee for the Vegas Chamber of Commerce and as president of the Leadership Foundation. She also proudly serves on the board of directors for Noah’s Animal House, a full-service pet shelter located in partnership with The Shade Tree Shelter in Southern Nevada and the Domestic Violence Resource Center in Northern Nevada, supporting victims of domestic violence. Nelson-Kraft has loved living in Southern Nevada for three decades, after growing up in Detroit and graduating from Eastern Michigan University.
