Jonathan Jossel Discusses Reimagining the Plaza and ‘Day One Energy’ on the Latest Episode of NSB’s ‘Through the Door’ Podcast
LAS VEGAS – Nevada State Bank (NSB) has released the second episode of its podcast series, “Through the Door: The Insider’s Perspective on Running a Business.” In “Episode Two: Day One Energy,” Jonathan Jossel, CEO of the Plaza Hotel & Casino, joins host Megan Comfort, NSB Executive Vice President and Small Business Manager, for an engaging conversation about his journey to becoming Nevada’s youngest gaming license holder, reimagining a Las Vegas landmark, and the importance of bringing “day one energy” to the workplace every day.
Jonathan Jossel, originally from South Africa and raised in London, moved to Las Vegas in 2007 to manage Tamares Real Estate’s Southern Nevada properties, including the Plaza Hotel & Casino. Since becoming CEO in 2014, he has revitalized the Plaza’s brand, reinvigorating its atmosphere and enhancing the guest experience. His recent multi-million-dollar Main Street Reimagination project introduced four new venues: Carousel Bar, Pinkbox Doughnuts, the rooftop patio at Oscar’s steakhouse, and Brian Christopher Slots at Plaza. Under his leadership, the Plaza has experienced significant growth and success, evolving with renewed spirit while maintaining its iconic status in downtown Las Vegas.
