Charitable Giving Surges: NSB Private Bank Report Shows Nevada’s Generosity on the Rise
LAS VEGAS – The Private Bank by Nevada State Bank released the latest edition of the High Net Worth Report series today. Issue 5 of 2025 provides a summary of charitable giving trends both nationally and in Nevada. Utilizing data published by nonprofit organizations, the federal government and university studies, this report offers insight into the state of charitable giving, especially among high net worth households.
Highlights from the issue include:
- Total donations in the U.S. increased to $592.5 billion in 2024. Religion, human services, and education were the largest categories of recipients.
- Nevada corporations increased their giving to $709.3 million in 2024, a 12.9% jump from the prior year.
- In 2024, 81% of high net worth households in the U.S. contributed to charities, compared to fewer than half of all households nationwide. On average, high net worth households donated $33,200.
- Nevada’s high net worth households donated a reported $1.5 billion in 2022, according to the latest tax data available. That was 78% of the statewide household total recorded on tax filings.
