LAS VEGAS, NV - (June 10, 2009) - As Nevada State Bank nears the final stages of transition with the former Great Basin Bank, several former GBB executives have accepted management positions with Nevada State Bank for the new Northeast region. Marcia Conforti has been promoted to Senior Vice President/Regional Manager for the retail division; Angie Thomas has been promoted to Senior Vice President/Business Banking Manager; and Mark Smith has stepped up as Sales and Service Program Coordinator supporting all lines of business for the Northeast region.

Conforti will be responsible for overseeing community involvement, driving sales results, and heading up retail operations for eight branches in the newly created Northeast region. She most recently served for 4 years as the Branch Manager for the Elko downtown office of the former Great Basin Bank. Before moving to Elko, Conforti spent 12 years in southern Nevada banks in a variety of positions, including private banking manager, loan officer, small business development officer, and branch manager.

Thomas will head Nevada State Bank’s business banking team in Elko, Winnemucca and Fallon. At the former Great Basin Bank, she managed a commercial loan portfolio and was also responsible for the bank’s portfolio of Small Business Administration loans. She has more than 28 years’ experience in banking as a relationship manager and commercial lender and a thorough knowledge of the unique market in northeastern Nevada, where she has worked for more than 20 years.

As Sales and Service Program Coordinator, Smith will support retail branches in the northeast region, as well as assisting with commercial banking and marketing initiatives. He most recently served for 5 years as Sales and Marketing Director for the former Great Basin Bank, developing sales tracking and accountability functions for the bank. With 22 years’ experience in advertising and marketing, he also headed marketing, media relations and advertising for Great Basin.
